Yee-haw: Brad Paisely

Doug Hensley, Charger Staff

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the album Part II by Brad Paisley. The album is chocked full of creamy, country goodness.

The album is packed full of funny songs, serious songs, and a little bit of bluegrass. Some songs on this album are “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” “Part II,” “Two Feet of Topsoil,” and other songs.

Many people do not like Country music but his style might change your mind. The first song, “Two Feet of Topsoil,”is about a broken relationship between Paisley and his girlfriend.

“I’m Gonna Miss Her,” is the first single on the album. Its is about a man giving up his wife for his love of fishing. Another song on the album is “Part II.” It is about Paisley’s wanting to revive an old relationship. Apparently, the country music audience likes to hear about Paisley’s personal problems because the single is tearing up the charts.

He adds flavor to the theme song of the old TV show “The Munsters” by changing it to a bluegrass theme. Paisley’s command of the electric guitar is nothing short of monumental.

His skills on the Telecaster are enough to make even the most seasoned of players become weak in the knees and in rage with jealousy.

Brad Paisley is a younger singer that has a long career ahead of him.

Purchase this album and kick up your boots up to some good old country music.
